Brandy Collins is a self-taught artist who works in mixed media. She draws her inspiration from nature, movies, folk art and anything vintage. Her abstract realist art has been shown in Dallas at Janette Kennedy Gallery, Underground, Deep Ellum Arts Festival, The Soda Gallery, Allied Stone and Life in Deep Ellum among others. She is a mother, and native of Hampton, VA.

Sea Turtles live a life of solitude. Riding the turquoise current through their possible century long life, they travel across a highway of water, facing many threats. Start their life paddling through hot sand from crabs and regarding gulls, gliding through a strange, plastic, oily sea. Eventually, they return to the same nesting grounds from which they were born.
